The Feminine Divine offers classes in Meadowridge, Bergvliet, Rondebosch East, Salt River, Parow North and Monte Vista.

We offer classes ranging from NEW Beginners to Advanced and Performance belly dance classes. We also offer Solo Latin, a creative and expressive form of latin dancing.

In Feminine Divine classes we place the emphasis on having fun and meeting new friends while learning correct technique and beautiful presentation.

Belly dancing is for ALL women, regardless of age, race, weight or religion!

What to Wear to Class

There is a wonderful variety of clothing for belly dancing beyond the costumes you see professionals wearing. Whatever you dance in, try to find something that matches the following requirements:

Chose something that does not restrict your movement in any way. Freedom of body expression is essential to good dancing.

Beginners often feel most comfortable in a sports bra top or T shirt. It is really up to you how much flesh you show!

For your legs, a pair of lightweight running or yoga tights rolled over at the waist down to your hip bones is a great, inexpensive choice.

Find something light and feminine such as a gypsy style shawl or silk scarf to drape around your hips.

Once you get into belly dancing you might like to invest in practice clothing to make you look the part. The Feminine Divine has our own range of goddess wear for your to chose from in the boutique.

Coin belts come in every color and design you can think of and are worth every penny for the fun they add to your dancing. When purchasing, give the belt a good shake to see how loud the coins ring. The louder the better! This exciting jingling ads incredible spirit and authenticity to the dance and can spark your imagination like nothing else.
